Pleasure or Treasure?

What are we seeking this Christmas?

Will there be room amongst all the gift exchanging, feasting and socialising for Jesus?

Will there be room in our hearts for Him or will our heart be like the crowded inn with no room for the Saviour?

How quickly we can give way to our own pleasure and miss the treasure!

The treasure of Emmanuel, God WITH us.

God is still with us friends, it’s whether we choose to spend time with Him among the busyness.

We won’t hear His voice if are not listening, if we don’t get quiet before Him and seek Him in His Word.

And how can we expect God to communicate with us if we’re not communicating with Him in prayer?

Relationships are two way friends.

Let’s seek for help to put Jesus first this Christmas and as we enjoy time with family and friends, let’s not forget to enjoy time with Jesus, as we feast upon the Christmas goodies, let’s feast our souls with the Bread of Life and as we exchange gifts, let’s not forget the greatest exchange ever made, when Jesus took upon Himself the sins of each of His dear children and in exchange gave us His perfect righteousness.

I'm a Christian wife and Mum of two. I love to study my Bible and create God centered items for myself and our shop. I also enjoy a variety of crafts, reading and baking. We are all quite creative so our house is often a hive of creativity! I have several chronic illnesses including Lupus and Fibromyalgia so I am very thankful that I have been given a creative mind to help fill the hours when I don't have the energy for anything else.
