God Will Provide…

GOD KNOWS! God knows what we need, Jesus told us that…

‘your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.’..

BUT in spite of all your need, in spite of all that needs to be done, in spite of all that clamours for your attention…

‘seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;…’

Put God first friend, seek Him first, seek His Kingdom and His righteousness and…

‘ALL these things shall be added unto you.’

This command comes with a promise. Put God first and He will make up the lack.

Don’t spend your time worrying about clothes or what you’ll eat, God has promised to supply those needs if you’ll just seek Him first.

It’s interesting to note here the word ‘needs’. God often goes above and beyond but here we have the promise that God will clothe and feed us, supply our basic needs, so that we can seek Him, His Kingdom and His righteousness first.

I used to think I couldn’t get up earlier, to spend time seeking God through His word, I need my sleep more than most people (I have lupus and fibromyalgia which means I’m constantly exhausted and wake up feeling as though I’m at the end of a long hard day and the pain and all the symptoms get worse when I don’t get enough sleep).

But as I began to get up a little earlier each week, God would help me through my days. The more time I gave to seeking God each morning through His word and prayer, the more He would strengthen me. There are often times throughout the day when I have no strength to continue but somehow as I look to God for hemp to continue, He fills me back up.

Yes, it’s HARD to get up at 5 each morning and there’s a battle with the enemy and self every time, and occasionally I do give in to the temptation to snooze my alarm BUT God has made this time with Him each morning so precious that it not only makes it easier to get up but it also makes up for every moment of sleep I lose.

It’s been wonderful so see how God has been so faithful to make up the strength I need. Also there’s been a sweetness in having to lean even harder upon Him and finding my needs supplied…

‘And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.’

Is there something keeping you from spending quality time seeking God each day? Because Friend, God has promised to supply your needs so that you can seek Him first.

I can almost guarantee it won’t be easy because Satan will do his utmost to prevent it.

It also may mean sacrifice, for me that meant sleep. For you it may mean something different, you may have to forgo a coffee date, or spend less time on social media or a hobby. You may have to work a little less and cut back in some areas financially but whatever you may need to give up to spend time each day with Jesus, I can promise you that it WILL be worth it.

Life is busy and we have so many important things clamouring for our attention, especially if we have young children but if you truly want to seek God with all your heart then He WILL help you make time for Him.

Don’t give up friend if it’s hard at first, God has promised you this…

‘I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.’

SHALL Friend…

‘Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he WILL draw nigh to you.’

He WILL friends, He will.

I'm a Christian wife and Mum of two. I love to study my Bible and create God centered items for myself and our shop. I also enjoy a variety of crafts, reading and baking. We are all quite creative so our house is often a hive of creativity! I have several chronic illnesses including Lupus and Fibromyalgia so I am very thankful that I have been given a creative mind to help fill the hours when I don't have the energy for anything else.

  1. Very timely my friend. How I needed to remember that my loving heavenly father will always provide for me, it may not be what I think is on time or needed LOL, but it is always the very best timing and the very best provision! And even the exhaustion of health related problems does not preclude us from still being able to put the Lord first in our days!

    1. I’m so glad to hear that my dear friend. It’s so sweet when we see the Lord going before us and see how much He cares even about the little things in our lives! Xxx
