And we beheld His glory!!

Is this what you long for friend?

What a wonderful Christmas it’ll be if we see a little of the glory of Jesus.

‘And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.’

Jesus took on flesh and lived in this world as we live, so that we might see His glory and know a little of the fullness of His grace and love towards us as unworthy sinners.

That we might BEHOLD Him.

This Greek word ‘theaomai’ translated beheld doesn’t just mean to see, it means to view attentively, to look closely at, to learn by looking!

But how?

By faith…

‘Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?’

Friends what a blessed Christmas it’ll be if we gaze upon Christ Jesus by faith and learn a little more from Him, about Him and see by faith more of His great indescribable love in coming to this earth and can say…

‘His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is MY beloved, and this is MY friend.’

Jesus came that he might be our Friend and Saviour, to give us an abundant and an eternal life…

‘I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.’

This abundant life is the life of each child of God that clings to and lives for Him.

THIS is what I long for, for myself and every single one you this Christmas, that we might be-held by Him and behold His glory…

‘Now the God of hope fill you with ALL joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.’

John 1:14, John 11:40, Sol 5:16, John 10:10.

  1. Great post, as always! I am thinking I will be holding on to the word “behold” throughout this Christmas. Many Thanks!

    1. A lovely word to be holding onto. ❤️ it’s amazing what mediation there can be on a single word!

  2. Thank you so much. Often I need it to read His message again and again.

    1. Yes, we need constantly reminding of the Lord’s goodness to us!
