Too busy?

It’s such a busy time of year for many of us and when we look at all there is to do, it’s so easy to think we don’t have time to pray today but if we take our eyes from the here and now for just a moment and turn them to eternity instead, friends, we don’t have time NOT to pray.

The dust on the shelves, that perfect decoration you wanted to make, the unwrapped Christmas gifts, the latest Christmas craft from Pinterest, what are they compared to eternity, yet too often we look at life from the perspective of time rather than eternity.

We have ALL day , each of the sixteen or so hours we’ll be awake, today and every day to pray Friends.

If we turn our eyes from what’s in front of us right now and instead fix our eyes on eternity we’ll see that we have so little time left here on earth that we don’t have time NOT to pray.

‘The end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.’

Friends, it’ll be too late to pray for the souls of those you love and others the other side of the grave, we only have NOW to pray because God may not give us the next breath.

Yes, I believe it delights God and that it should be our top priority, to set aside a little time just for Him, to commune with Him in secret but also in our busyness.

Just as you talk to those around you during the day, talk to God too Friend, He’s right there by your side, don’t ignore Him!

‘Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.’

‘Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.’

I'm a Christian wife and Mum of two. I love to study my Bible and create God centered items for myself and our shop. I also enjoy a variety of crafts, reading and baking. We are all quite creative so our house is often a hive of creativity! I have several chronic illnesses including Lupus and Fibromyalgia so I am very thankful that I have been given a creative mind to help fill the hours when I don't have the energy for anything else.
